A pop-up dinner event at the Culture House in Kendall Square Cambridge. Meghan, from the Freedom through Art Collective, FAC, will be the curator for this event. The FAC is a non-profit that promotes art created by incarcerated artists, and through Meghan, provide us the opportunity to generate conversations about justice and redemption. Tatenda, an immigrant from Zimbabwe, will prepare a traditional, flavor-packed meal with the dialogue.
Here’s Tatenda’s menu for the evening:
Fat Cooks, a minced curry filled appetizer
Sadza, a flavorful side dish made with cornmeal (Gluten free)
Nyama Yehuku, a traditional chicken stew slow cooked with herbs and spices that offer it a unique flavor. (Vegetarian alternative with meatless mince/beefless meat is available upon request.)
Murio Nehohwa (Vegan), Spinach and mushrooms with flavors by the herbs it is cooked with
Queen Cake with ice cream
